A Small Practice of Welcome
This summer, we are inviting everyone at BUMC to get into the simple practice of wearing name tags on Sunday mornings.
It may seem like a small thing, but small things can make a big difference in helping people feel welcome. During the summer, we often have a good number of visitors with us on any given Sunday, folks who are new to Bozeman, traveling through, visiting family, exploring church again, or simply wondering if BUMC might be a place where they can belong.
Wearing a name tag makes it easier to greet one another, learn names, and begin conversations. It helps visitors connect with us without the awkwardness of trying to remember names after one quick introduction. And honestly, it helps all of us too! Community is built one name, one conversation, and one welcome at a time.
To make this easy, we will have baskets at each door where you can place your name tag as you leave the sanctuary. Each week, we will re-hang them so they are ready for you the next Sunday.
If you do not have a name tag, you can request one here, or simply check the box on the sign-in sheet attached to your bulletin.
Thank you for helping us make BUMC a place where people are seen, known, and welcomed.
Do Good…
