Worship

At Bozeman United Methodist Church, worship is an important part of who we are...and who we are becoming. Worship is about giving: the giving of our minds and hearts, our attention and devotion to God as the center of our lives. We sing to Jesus with praise and gratitude, we listen, and we pray. Worship is also about learning: learning about scripture, prayer, sacraments, life choices, what it means to be a part of our intergenerational church community, learning about the rhythms of the Sabbath—all the things that make us who we are as Christians.

Our goal is to support the spiritual growth of each member of our church family, from the smallest child to the most senior member. We are committed to providing opportunities where we can learn about our Christian faith, ask our questions, share our stories, and challenge ourselves to follow Jesus in our daily lives.

With these ideas in mind, we try to make our Sunday mornings a gift to God and a blessing to all. For information about special ways you can participate in worship services, view these ministry opportunities.

Sunday Worship Schedule

During autumn, winter, and spring, we conduct the following three services every Sunday: 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. Please join us in the Friendship Room between services for fellowship and coffee, tea, and light snacks.

Bozeman United Methodist Church celebrates the presence of God in our lives at worship each Sunday. Join our community of faith for joyful music, thought-provoking sermons, prayer, and scripture. Communion is served the first Sunday of each month, and is open to all regardless of age or church membership. Bread or rice wafers and grape juice are served.

Children are welcome at all worship services. Children's worship materials are available each Sunday at the entrances. Childcare is provided for children to age 4 in our well staffed nursery. All children are welcome to stay in worship, but if they become restless, you can still hear the service in the narthex area, office area, and nursery if it is necessary to leave the sanctuary.

We know that it is impossible for everyone to be in church every Sunday. The scripture and sermon from Sunday morning are available at Recent Sermons. These audio files will help keep you connected when you are unable to attend.

The Worship Team also sponsors resources for all of us to grow spiritually. The Upper Room and Alive Now are available for your use at no cost. Pick these up at the tables at either doorway. Pockets and Devo'Zine are provided for young people.

We want Bozeman United Methodist Church to be your church home. Pastor Dave and the staff are always happy to answer questions or help in other ways.
